LalehJin Pottery School
Parvaneh Farhanpour – July 28, 2000
Architectural Design Thesis
This project is located in the historic core of LalehJin, a city known for its pottery tradition.
The design functions as both an architectural and urban space, establishing connections between the surrounding alleys and passageways. On the ground floor, the program incorporates spaces that promote social interaction, including shops, exhibition areas, performance venues, and training classrooms. Internal walkways are designed to reinforce the structure while maintaining accessibility to the historic context. The maquette, built at a 1:30 scale with cardboard and copper foil, reflects the conceptual foundation of the project: the four elements of nature—Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire.
