Custom Cloud & SaaS Software Development
Built in British Columbia. Designed Around Real Business Problems.
ABR Platform is a Canadian software development company based in British Columbia, building custom cloud applications, SaaS platforms, business automation systems, and digital products for businesses that need more than an off-the-shelf solution.
Our approach starts with the business problem — not with a template.
We look at how a business operates, where information comes from, what employees and customers need to do, and where software can remove unnecessary manual work. From there, we design and develop a solution around those requirements.
From local businesses in British Columbia to specialized online platforms, our projects have given us hands-on experience building software for very different industries and operational needs.
What We Build
Custom Business Software
When spreadsheets, emails, disconnected applications, or generic software start limiting a business, a custom application can bring those processes together.
ABR Platform develops web-based business systems for managing operations, customers, employees, services, content, documents, workflows, reporting, and other business-specific requirements.
Instead of asking, “Which software can we make your business fit into?”, we ask:
“How does your business actually work, and what software would make it work better?”
SaaS Platforms
We design and develop cloud-based Software as a Service platforms from initial concept through production.
This includes much more than building the visible website or dashboard. A complete SaaS product can involve authentication, user roles, subscriptions, databases, APIs, background processes, file storage, analytics, administration tools, integrations, security, and cloud infrastructure.
Our own work developing Openleet is an example of this approach.
Openleet is a SaaS platform developed by ABR Platform to help businesses organize and publish their business information in a structured way for customers, search engines, crawlers, and AI assistants.
Building a platform like Openleet requires combining business profiles, websites, structured data, content management, analytics, AI-assisted tools, geographic discovery, APIs, and multi-business infrastructure into a single cloud application.
That experience directly influences how we approach SaaS development for our clients.
Workflow Automation & Integrations
Sometimes a business doesn't need another complete application. It needs its existing systems to work together.
ABR Platform develops integrations and automated workflows that can connect websites, databases, APIs, cloud services, payment systems, communication platforms, access-control systems, AI services, and other third-party technologies.
Automation can replace repetitive processes such as:
Moving information manually between systems
Sending routine notifications and updates
Generating reports
Processing customer requests
Updating records
Managing approvals
Synchronizing data
Creating or processing documents
Triggering actions based on business events
The objective is practical: reduce repetitive work while making business processes faster, more reliable, and easier to manage.
Customer-Facing Applications
Some of the most important software a company operates is software its customers use directly.
We develop customer portals, dashboards, service platforms, booking systems, account areas, content platforms, mobile-friendly web applications, and other interactive digital services.
These systems are designed around both sides of the experience: what the customer needs to accomplish and what the business needs to manage behind the scenes.
Experience Across Different Types of Projects
Our projects aren't limited to one industry.
Openleet — Business Information & AI Discovery Platform
Openleet is a SaaS platform created to help businesses establish a structured, accurate, and maintainable source of information about who they are and what they offer.
The platform combines business information management, websites, services and products, locations, articles, FAQs, structured data, analytics, AI-assisted assessment, and machine-readable business information.
It represents our experience building and operating a multi-tenant SaaS application from the ground up.
Farmers On Duty — Custom Digital Platform
For Farmers On Duty, we worked on a custom digital solution combining modern web technologies with a mobile application.
The project demonstrates our ability to build connected systems across web and mobile environments rather than treating a website as an isolated product.
Specialized Business Systems
We also work on projects where software needs to communicate with external platforms, hardware-related services, APIs, authentication systems, or existing business infrastructure.
These projects often require more than front-end development. They require understanding how different systems communicate, how data should be structured, who should have access to it, and how the entire workflow should operate reliably.
Modern Cloud Architecture
We primarily build modern web and cloud applications using technologies selected according to the requirements of each project.
Our work can include:
Next.js and React applications · TypeScript · PostgreSQL databases · API development · Cloud infrastructure · Authentication and authorization · SaaS architecture · Third-party integrations · AI integrations · Mobile applications · Analytics · Automation · Structured data
Technology is important, but we don't consider a list of frameworks to be the product.
The product is the business problem the technology solves.
AI as Part of Software — Not Just a Chatbot
Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities for business software, but adding a chatbot to an application does not automatically make it useful.
We look for places where AI can provide a measurable benefit: understanding information, assisting users, analyzing business data, generating structured recommendations, improving workflows, or making large amounts of information easier to work with.
Our experience developing AI-assisted functionality for Openleet gives us practical experience integrating AI into real SaaS workflows rather than treating AI as a standalone feature.
Built Locally in British Columbia
ABR Platform is based in British Columbia, Canada, and much of our work has been shaped by working directly with businesses and projects here.
Being local gives us the opportunity to understand the operational side of a business — not only what its website should look like.
For businesses in Vancouver, Squamish, the Sea-to-Sky region, and across British Columbia, we can work closely to understand the problem, plan the solution, and continue improving the software as the business evolves.
We also build cloud-based products for organizations outside the region, where development and collaboration can be handled remotely.
From an Idea to a Working Product
You don't need to arrive with a complete technical specification.
You may simply know that:
“We're doing too much of this manually.”
“Our current software doesn't work the way we need.”
“These two systems need to communicate.”
“Customers should be able to do this online.”
or
“We have an idea for a SaaS product, but don't know how to build it.”
That's enough to start a conversation.
We can help translate the business requirement into a technical plan, determine what should be custom-built, identify what can be integrated from existing services, and develop the application from prototype through production.
Build Software Around Your Business
At ABR Platform, we believe custom software should have a clear reason to exist.
It should save time, connect information, remove unnecessary work, create a better customer experience, enable a new service, or give a business capabilities it didn't have before.
If your business has a process that could work better with technology, talk to ABR Platform about what you're trying to accomplish.
We can help turn that problem into a practical, scalable cloud solution.
